Busan International Film Festival unveils 23 films for Vision sections

The Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) has announced the lineup for its Vision Korea and Vision Asia sections for the 2026 edition. The selection features a total of 23 independent films designed to showcase emerging and mid-career talent from South Korea and across the Asian continent.

The Vision Korea section will present 12 films, while the Vision Asia section will feature 11 titles. This programming follows a recent overhaul of the festival, which included the introduction of a formal main competition. The Vision programme itself evolved from the former Korean Cinema Today - Vision section.

Notable upcoming titles include Park Kun-young’s 'Things I Left at the Theater', Jang Woojin’s 'Cosmic Trace', and Kim Miyoung’s 'Some Detective'. Additionally, the films 'Some Detective' and Shin Dongmin’s 'Not For You' were recipients of post-production support from the Asian Cinema Fund.
