Busan launches community support and field communication initiatives

Local authorities and community organizations in Busan are launching various initiatives to support the regional economy and enhance resident welfare ahead of the Chuseok holiday.

Busan Mayor Jeon Jae-su has initiated a field communication project titled ‘Busan Everywhere, Changing Citizens' Daily Lives.’ The project involves visiting 206 administrative districts to inspect local issues such as pedestrian environments, safety in steep areas, and elderly welfare. The mayor aims to establish a cooperative system between the city and local districts to address resident grievances directly.

Simultaneously, the Busan Veterans Association is conducting a campaign to revitalize traditional markets. Members are visiting various markets across the city to purchase goods and participate in environmental cleanup efforts. This initiative is designed to support local merchants facing economic difficulties and to encourage citizen participation in maintaining order and cleanliness in market areas.
