Busan Office of Education to launch PENZ integrated login platform

The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education will officially launch ‘PENZ’, an integrated single sign-on (SSO) platform for cloud and generative AI services, across all elementary, middle, and high schools in the Busan region starting September 1.

Designed to reduce the administrative burden of managing multiple accounts, PENZ allows students and faculty to access various digital educational tools—including Google, Microsoft, Adobe, and Canva—using a single set of credentials. Students can maintain a continuous digital learning record, including assignments and portfolios, using the same account from elementary school through high school graduation.

For faculty, the platform automates student account creation and grade advancement by linking with the National Education Information System (NEIS). The system also allows teachers to retain their accounts even after personnel transfers. To ensure a smooth transition, the Busan Education Research and Information Institute will conduct four specialized briefing sessions for school administrators and IT staff regarding system integration and edutech service usage.
