Busan police commend transit worker and off-duty officer for successful arrests

In Busan, South Korea, local authorities have recognized a Busan Transportation Corporation employee for assisting in the arrest of a suspect involved in the embezzlement of lost property. The employee identified the individual, who had taken a lost wallet from a subway station, by remembering their appearance from CCTV footage during a routine patrol.

In a separate incident, an off-duty police officer from the Busan Jin Police Station apprehended a suspected drunk driver. While traveling with an acquaintance, the officer observed a vehicle driving erratically and pursued it for approximately 8 kilometers. The officer managed to secure the driver, a man in his 30s, at a red light in Dong-gu, Busan. A breathalyzer test confirmed the driver's blood alcohol content was at a level resulting in license revocation.
