Busan to deliberate on Centre Pompidou branch and La Scala performance

Busan Metropolitan City has announced plans to establish a deliberation and communication process to resolve key cultural issues, including the establishment of a Centre Pompidou branch and an opening performance by Teatro alla Scala at the Busan Opera House.

To ensure procedural legitimacy and public acceptance, the city will form an expert inspection team in August to review the Pompidou branch project. Regarding the Teatro alla Scala performance, the city will conduct various discussions, including forums with local artists and citizens, as well as public opinion polls.

Following these processes, the Busan Cultural Cooperation Committee will review the matters in September. The city intends to announce final policy decisions regarding both the Pompidou branch and the La Scala performance in early October.
