BusCo expands routes to Santa Catarina as regional mobility investments continue

BusCo, a low-cost road transport mobitech company, has launched new interstate routes connecting São Paulo to Joinville and Itajaí in Santa Catarina. The service, operated by Auto Viação Catarinense, departs from the Tietê Bus Terminal and is expected to transport approximately 680 passengers per week across these connections.

In the region, urban mobility is also seeing developments through the federal PAC program. Jaraguá do Sul is set to add 12 new air-conditioned buses to its fleet, with five expected to begin operation shortly and seven more later this year. This investment follows a R$ 105 million allocation for mobility in Jaraguá do Sul and Joinville. Joinville has already begun circulating new buses as of March, utilizing R$ 95.3 million of the allocated funds for urban mobility improvements.
