Bushido undergoes successful surgery to remove tumor

German rapper Bushido, born Anis Ferchichi, has successfully undergone surgery to remove a tumor from his parotid gland. The procedure followed the discovery of a growth near his left ear in May 2026.

While an MRI initially indicated the tumor was benign, medical professionals advised its removal due to its location near a critical facial nerve and the potential risk of the tissue changing or becoming malignant. During the operation, doctors had to continuously monitor the nerve to prevent injury.

Bushido’s wife, Anna-Maria Ferchichi, shared updates with fans via social media, confirming that he survived the procedure well. The family reportedly chose to be open with their eight children about the diagnosis to prevent them from being unsettled by media reports.
