Business forums highlight economic potential in Catalonia regions

Business leaders and administrators recently convened in Catalonia to discuss regional economic development and global opportunities.

In Lleida, the third Fecoll Business Day emphasized the organization's role as an economic driver. Participants highlighted the capacity of the Aplec del Caragol to generate wealth through networking and cultural projects, specifically noting the importance of supporting local small and medium-sized enterprises.

In the Empordà region, the III Peralada Business Forum addressed industrial weight, innovation, and generational renewal. Key developments included Grupo Conesa's expansion into the logistics sector via a company linked to the Port of Palamós. Additionally, Rieju announced plans to study opening its first production subsidiary outside the region, potentially in South America or Southeast Asia, as the company targets 10% annual growth. Discussions also focused on strengthening the link between vocational training, higher education, and the private sector.
