Business France opens Belgrade office to boost Serbian cooperation
Twenty Serbian companies from sectors including IT, construction, and infrastructure have presented their business potential and expansion plans for the French market to Business France. The French agency for international business development has officially opened an office in Belgrade, signaling increased interest from the French business community in Serbia and the Western Balkans.
To formalize this relationship, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (PKS) and Business France are scheduled to sign a strategic cooperation agreement at the French Senate on November 30. This agreement aims to establish a long-term framework for strengthening economic ties between the two nations. Foreign trade exchange between Serbia and France is expected to reach approximately 2.5 billion euros by the end of the year.
Key areas of cooperation include significant infrastructure projects, most notably the construction of the Belgrade Metro, where French companies are involved in supplying electromechanical systems. Additional opportunities for partnership exist in water management, including wastewater treatment and drinking water supply.
