Business Insider appoints Christian Baesler as new CEO

Christian Baesler, formerly of Complex and BuzzFeed, has officially been appointed as the new CEO of Business Insider.

Baesler intends to shift the company’s growth strategy away from a reliance on website scale and toward a model focused on cross-platform reader engagement and specialized niche franchises. He stated that website scale is no longer a viable growth model. To support this transition, the company will leverage its existing large-scale audience across various platforms, including tens of millions of YouTube subscribers, over 10 million LinkedIn followers, and more than 1 million subscribers to its flagship newsletter, ‘Business Insider Today’.
