Artificial intelligence drives shifts in Polish healthcare, labor, and security

Various reports and expert analyses highlight the multifaceted impact of artificial intelligence and digital transformation across different sectors in Poland.

In healthcare, a report by On Board Think Kong and SW Research indicates that younger populations are increasingly using AI to interpret symptoms, often as a precursor to medical consultations. Meanwhile, AI is expected to streamline hospital medical documentation.

In the labor market, a Pracuj.pl report shows that 57% of regular AI users believe the technology can lead to higher earnings, viewing it as a professional advantage rather than just a tool for automation. Conversely, Jeff Bezos suggests AI could enable a three-day work week by boosting productivity, while DHL Express CEO John Pearson argues against replacing employees with AI, suggesting it may not be cost-effective.

Regarding business operations and security, a Mastercard study reveals that while many Polish firms view AI as a shield against cyberattacks, they also recognize it lowers the barrier for cybercriminals. Additionally, companies are facing rising costs from unmanaged software subscriptions and redundant AI tools, necessitating stricter IT audits.

In the real estate sector, experts note that while AI might reduce demand for traditional office space by impacting the BPO sector, the residential market remains highly attractive to foreign investors due to demographic shifts and housing shortages.
