Business leaders critique state bureaucracy in Moldova and Romania
In Moldova, human resources specialist Svetlana Scutelniciuc has noted a perceived disconnect between the state apparatus and the business sector. She suggested that the two entities should be more closely linked to foster better economic synergy.
In Romania, former Deputy Prime Minister Dragoș Anastasiu criticized the current state of administration, describing it as overly bureaucratic and excessive in its regulatory reach. Anastasiu argued that the state should focus on creating a simple framework for performance rather than suffocating private enterprise. He also highlighted issues regarding corruption and personal interests within the administration, suggesting that many officials are appointed based on kinship or friendship rather than efficiency.
