Business leaders face talent shortages and AI trust gaps
Businesses are facing significant challenges regarding talent management and the integration of artificial intelligence. In Spain, companies across sectors such as industry, logistics, and technology are struggling with long vacancy periods and the loss of institutional knowledge, necessitating a shift in Human Resources toward long-term talent development and upskilling.
Globally, the focus of AI implementation is shifting from mere adoption to establishing trust and reliability. A report by SAS and IDC, involving decision-makers from 28 countries, reveals that 97.2% of organizations modify or ignore AI-generated recommendations at some point. Furthermore, only 17.5% of organizations possess fully optimized data infrastructures, highlighting a critical gap in data governance and the ability to explain AI-driven decisions. These findings were discussed during the SAS 50th Anniversary awards in Bogotá, emphasizing that leadership must now address data governance and risk management to effectively scale AI technologies.
