Business strategies evolve through sales-marketing alignment and AI orchestration

Modern business strategies are increasingly focused on the integration of sales and marketing, often referred to as ‘smarketing’. This approach requires marketing teams to deliver leads rapidly to sales teams, who must then use CRM data to ensure rigorous follow-up and maintain transparency for further marketing analysis.

Social selling has emerged as a key method for establishing trust and credibility through social networks, allowing professionals to reach key decision-makers via relevant conversations rather than intrusive tactics. Additionally, marketing automation is being utilized to streamline processes such as onboarding and managing abandoned shopping carts.

Despite the abundance of data and automation tools, companies face challenges in customer engagement due to fragmented experiences. While 96% of companies using AI for personalization see measurable benefits, a trust gap exists: 61% of consumers do not trust brands regarding data usage, and there is a significant discrepancy between how much companies believe they are transparent about AI versus how customers actually perceive them. Effective engagement now relies on orchestration—using AI to connect real-time behaviors and interaction histories into a single, continuous system rather than operating in silos.
