Business Student Rishabh Mahajan Convicted of Public Indecency in Dublin

In the Dublin Circuit Criminal Court, 30‑year‑old Indian business student Rishabh Mahajan pleaded guilty to four counts of offensive conduct of a sexual nature and a charge of sexual assault for repeatedly exposing himself and masturbating in view of women at several locations in October‑November 2024, including a city‑centre office building, a youth hostel and University College Dublin. The incidents were captured on CCTV and victims provided impact statements.

The defence argued Mahajan had no prior problems in India but “spiralled into criminality” after arriving in Ireland. He was already serving a four‑month sentence for a similar offence. The case was adjourned for further victim‑impact evidence.
