Business Travel Association launches new TMC accreditation scheme

The Business Travel Association (BTA) has launched its new Travel Management Company (TMC) Accreditation Scheme, designed to provide an independent benchmark for procurement teams evaluating travel partners. FCM Travel and Corporate Traveller are among the first companies to receive the accreditation.

To achieve the status, companies must undergo a rigorous evaluation across six key areas: business stability and governance, insurance and financial protection, data protection and privacy, professional competence, client service standards, and business continuity plans. Other companies that have met these standards include Navan, Inntel, and Direct Travel.

In related organizational developments, FCM Travel has appointed Jo Lloyd to the newly created role of Chief Customer Officer. Lloyd, who joined the company in 2021, will oversee the global end-to-end customer lifecycle, including customer health, retention, and growth. She will lead both Account Management and FCM Consulting under a unified global vision.
