Business Women's Association holds 9th İş’te Kadın Photo Contest awards
The Business Women's Association (İKD) held the award ceremony and exhibition opening for its 9th İş’te Kadın Photo Contest at the Lefkoşa Bedesten.
During the event, İKD President Bilen Sayılı Bozkırlı emphasized that women's labor should not be evaluated solely through economic indicators, describing the struggle for women's labor as a fight for existence and a pursuit of a fair life. The association, which has worked for equality and freedom for 19 years, aims for a social order where women are equal and have a say in production and decision-making processes.
The contest, sponsored by Garanti BBVA, focused on making women's roles in agriculture, industry, and traditional production visible. Mehmet Binbaşı won first place with ‘Athena Yansıma’, followed by Nazan Dinsev in second and Cem Cengiz in third. A total of 60,000 TL in prize money was awarded.
