This shift, driven by changing geopolitical dynamics, means that traditional risk models focused on financial incentives are no longer sufficient. Companies, especially those linked to critical infrastructure or government contracts, must broaden their defence strategies to include all supply‑chain dependencies, third‑party vendors and identity‑access management (IAM) controls.
