Businessman Jesús Molina Vargas rescued in Playas de Rosarito

Authorities in Playas de Rosarito, Baja California, have located businessman Jesús Molina Vargas alive following his illegal deprivation of liberty. A large-scale joint operation involving approximately 1,000 personnel from the Mexican Army, National Guard, and state and municipal police forces was deployed to locate him.

Baja California State Attorney General María Elena Andrade Ramírez clarified that the incident was not classified as a kidnapping because no ransom or specific benefit had been demanded for his release. The victim was found in the El Sauzal area near the Tijuana-Ensenada highway.

Molina, the owner of Parque Aventuras Pekín, reported that after being released by his captors on the roadside, he attempted to seek help from passing motorists, but many did not stop due to fear of ambush or retaliation. Following his rescue, Molina urged local businesses and informal traders to unite through business chambers to demand better security conditions in the region.
