Busko-Zdrój to develop Science Center for Water and Sulfur
Preparations are beginning for the construction of the Science Center for Water and Sulfur in Busko-Zdrój. The project is planned for the site of the former ‘Górka’ sanatorium, which is owned by the municipality.
Mayor Jerzy Szydłowski announced the revival of the project, noting that partial funding may be sourced from savings realized during other tenders. The center aims to combine science, education, and entertainment through interactive exhibits, laboratories, and experiment zones. It will feature exhibition spaces, a conference hall, and a small cinema for scientific films.
The facility is designed to serve children, youth, tourists, and spa patients by teaching them about the properties of sulfur waters and their importance in medicinal treatments. The concept draws inspiration from the Copernicus Science Centre.
