Busovača to host fly fishing school and junior championship

The youth club Novi Val Blagaj, in collaboration with various partners, is organizing a fly fishing school and camp in Busovača from August 28 to 30, 2025. The event aims to combine education, sport, and nature protection.

During the camp, experienced instructors will teach young participants fly fishing techniques and emphasize the importance of preserving healthy river ecosystems through practical water work and workshops. Following the camp, an open junior fly fishing championship organized by the Sport Fishing Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina will take place on August 31 on the Lašva River.

The initiative is supported by BH Telecom as the general sponsor, alongside partners such as USR ‘Neretva 1933’ Mostar and The Nature Conservancy through the ‘United for Rivers’ initiative. The program seeks to promote sport fishing among youth, develop ecological awareness, and foster community through nature-based activities.
