Bussolengo hosts 12th annual Scottish Festival at Villa Spinola

Scottish Festival Villa Spinola Highlanders Games Scottish folklore Bussolengo

The 12th edition of the Scottish Festival will take place from August 28 to August 30 at Villa Spinola Park in Bussolengo. Organized by the associations Scottish Birati and Nati par el Carneal with municipal patronage, the three-day event focuses on Scottish culture, music, gastronomy, and folklore.

Daily activities include the Scottish Birati Pub and food stands offering traditional Scottish-inspired dishes starting at 19:00, alongside nightly rune workshops at 20:00. The musical lineup features live performances by Uncle Bard & The Dirty Bastards, Jimmy & Scots Folk Band, and Alban Fùam ft. Andrea Wallace Zarantonello.

The event will conclude on Sunday, August 30, with the Highlanders Games at 15:00. This competition features various clans participating in traditional highland games of strength and skill, accompanied by the bagpipes of Thomas Zonato.
