Busta Rhymes announces Dillagence II mixtape with J Dilla instrumentals

Rapper Busta Rhymes is releasing a new mixtape titled ‘Dillagence II’, featuring new vocals recorded over unreleased instrumentals from the late producer J Dilla. The project utilizes nearly 300 instrumentals made available from Dilla’s estate.

J Dilla, a Detroit-based producer who passed away in 2006, was renowned for his unique production style known as the ‘Dilla Feel,’ characterized by intricate micro-timing and off-kilter rhythms. His influence has extended across hip hop and modern jazz. This new collaboration follows the 2007 release ‘Dillagence,’ which was produced with the blessing of Dilla’s mother, Maureen ‘Ma Dukes’ Yancey.
