Busy Philipps receives clean brain scan after tumor surgery

Actress Busy Philipps has received a clean MRI scan following her diagnosis and treatment for a rare brain tumor. The 47-year-old shared the positive news during the New York City premiere of her new CBS series, ‘Cupertino’.

Philipps was diagnosed with a malignant glioma in February after undergoing a full-body scan. She underwent an initial surgery in March to remove a 2.6-centimeter mass, followed by a second procedure to treat a staphylococcus infection at the incision site. Despite these health challenges, she began filming her new series just weeks after her first surgery.

Philipps encouraged women to listen to their bodies and advocate for their own health. She noted that her oncologist, Dr. Alexandra Miller, has been a significant part of her medical journey.
