Butel parents demand dismissal of teacher over ethnic slurs

Parents at the ‘Panajot Ginovski’ school in Butel are demanding the removal of Macedonian language teacher Aleksandra Kozarevska following her ethnic slurs against Albanians on social media. The controversy erupted after Kozarevska posted comments on Facebook describing Albanians as an ‘uncivilized race’ and claiming that ‘not 25, but even 250 years are too little to be fixed.’

Ardian Zhuta, chairman of the school’s Parents' Council, stated that the council is collecting signatures for a petition to have the teacher dismissed. He emphasized that such discrimination is unacceptable from an educator responsible for children's upbringing.

Behar Rexhepi, a councilor in the Butel Municipality, has also called for legal action and seriousness from both the school directorate and the municipal leadership. He noted that the issue will be brought before the Council to ensure accountability and legal measures are taken.
