BUTTER Fine Art Fair returns to Indianapolis with focus on Black artists
The BUTTER Fine Art Fair has returned to Indianapolis, positioning itself as ‘America’s Equitable Fine Art Fair’ by allowing participating artists to retain 100% of their artwork sales. This model distinguishes the event from traditional commercial galleries that typically charge commissions.
This year’s festival features 56 Black artists from Indiana and across the globe, showcasing more than 212 pieces of art. The event also includes a new initiative providing 13 recent graduates the opportunity to display their work and engage with potential collectors.
Beyond the art, the fair generates significant economic activity for the city, attracting international travelers, curators, and entrepreneurs. Organizers note that the event supports the local travel industry and provides a platform for artists to transition their creative work into full-time businesses.
