Buyeo County Council conducts field inspections of major projects

The Buyeo County Council conducted a three-day field inspection of 15 major project sites from the 16th to the 18th. This initiative serves as a preliminary measure ahead of the 2026 administrative audit to verify the progress of key projects, facility operations, and budget execution.

Council members visited various locations, including agricultural water supply sites in Hongsan-myeon and the Park Golf Complex construction site. The inspections focused on several critical areas, including the settlement of subsidies for the Buyeo County Sports Council, facility defects, safety management, construction delays, and the feasibility of securing budgets for large-scale projects.

During the inspections, members listened to reports from relevant departments and stakeholders to ensure projects are proceeding according to original plans. The council emphasized the need to look beyond mere completion and instead evaluate the potential for additional county budget burdens, facility utilization, and the actual effectiveness of projects for local residents. The findings from these site visits will be actively incorporated into the 2026 administrative audit.
