Buzau hosts international arts festival and visual arts symposium

Buzau is hosting significant cultural events, including the sixth edition of the Buzau International Arts Festival (BIAF) and the eighth edition of a national visual arts urban camp.

The BIAF will run from August 14 to September 11, featuring theatre, film, visual arts, and performances across various venues in Buzau and surrounding areas like Ramnicu Sarat. The festival includes the BUZZ IFF international film competition, the COMIC 7 B independent theatre festival, and workshops for children. Actor George Mihaita will serve as a special guest.

Simultaneously, the National Visual Arts Symposium, coordinated by Valeriu Șușnea, will bring 12 visual artists to the city from August 17 to August 22. Inspired by the heritage of the artist Nicolae Andreescu, participants will create works intended for the pinacotheca of the Alexandru Marghiloman Cultural and Educational Center. The camp will conclude with an exhibition at the Ion Andreescu Art Galleries and the publication of an edition catalog.
