Dacia reduces production at Mioveni plant to align with orders

Dacia has implemented production reductions at its Mioveni manufacturing plant in Romania. The company reported production halts on October 9 and 12, 2026, specifically affecting the Duster and Bigster SUV models. These measures were taken to align manufacturing output with current order volumes.

According to union representatives, daily production capacity at the facility has declined from approximately 1,160 vehicles in July to roughly 1,060 vehicles in early October, representing an 8.6% decrease. While production is being scaled back, workers not assigned to active lines are to remain home with their collective bargaining agreement pay rights preserved.

In a broader strategic context, Renault Group leadership has expressed concerns regarding the competitiveness of Dacia's operations within Romania.
