Dâmbovița fatal accident: 5 dead after unlicensed driver strikes pedestrians

A fatal traffic accident on DN 61 near Grozăvești, Dâmbovița County, resulted in five deaths during the night of Tuesday to Wednesday. The collision involved a 20-year-old driver who was operating a vehicle without a valid license for any category.

According to police reports, the driver struck three pedestrians—a 24-year-old woman, a 25-year-old man, and a 49-year-old man—while traveling on the roadway. Following the impact, the vehicle left the road and overturned.

In addition to the three pedestrians, the 20-year-old driver and a 23-year-old passenger also died in the incident. Authorities have opened a criminal case for manslaughter and driving a vehicle without a license.
