Buzz Osborne of the Melvins Talks New Napalm Death Collaboration and Tour

Melvins frontman Buzz Osborne said the band’s upcoming 2026 collaborative record with Napalm Death, released under the name “Savage Imperial Death March,” was an exciting creative challenge. He told host Full Metal Jackie that the unknown nature of the project appealed to him, especially given the limited time they had to produce material.

Osborne also highlighted the Melvins’ long‑standing friendship with the members of Tomahawk. The two groups will tour together again this year, following previous U.S., European and Australian tours that featured both bands. Osborne recalled the last Tomahawk show in Sydney and noted the camaraderie on stage, adding that he looks forward to more joint performances.
