Bávaro police raid results in arrest and seizure of weapons and fake IDs

Authorities conducted a targeted intelligence raid at the El Can apartments on España Avenue in Bávaro, resulting in the arrest of Joaquín Ramírez Rodríguez. During the operation, which was supervised by the Public Ministry, law enforcement seized various weapons and tactical gear.

Items recovered include a 9mm CZ pistol with 15 rounds, a .380 caliber firearm, and a non-lethal device resembling a Glock 19. Tactical equipment found at the scene consisted of two tactical vests—one bearing DNCD insignia—balaclavas, handcuffs, an extensible baton, and various multi-use tools.

Investigators also seized several documents suspected of being counterfeit, including identification cards allegedly belonging to the National Police and the National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD), as well as a military ID. The suspect and the seized evidence have been handed over to the Public Ministry for further investigation to determine the authenticity of the documents and the origin of the weapons.
