BVL grants emergency pesticide authorizations in Germany

The German Federal Office of Consumer Protection and Food Safety (BVL) has granted emergency authorizations for the use of the insecticides Sivanto prime and Orondis Vip. These authorizations are valid from August 13 to December 10, 2026.

Sivanto prime, containing the active ingredient flupyradifurone, is authorized for use against aphids and whiteflies on various crops in open fields, including spinach, lettuce, arugula, root and tuber vegetables, leafy and stem vegetables, legumes, cabbage, kohlrabi, rhubarb, asparagus, and fresh herbs.

Orondis Vip, which contains the active ingredients metalaxyl-M and oxathiapiprolin, has been authorized to combat white rust (Albugo candida) on radishes and radish-related crops in open fields.
