By Any Means crime thriller starring Mark Wahlberg set for September release

The crime thriller ‘By Any Means’ is scheduled for theatrical release via Paramount on September 4. Directed by Elegance Bratton, the film is set in 1966 and inspired by true events involving an FBI investigation into the murder of civil rights activist Vernon Dahmer.

Mark Wahlberg stars as the notorious mobster Greg Scarpa, while Yahya Abdul-Mateen II portrays Wayne Strider, a conflicted Black FBI agent. The plot follows an unconventional investigation necessitated by local law enforcement being compromised by the Ku Klux Klan.

At a recent Los Angeles premiere, Wahlberg discussed the film’s title as a personal philosophy of hard work and dedication, noting that he strives to live by the phrase ‘by any means’ in both his professional and personal life.
