Byaku Organic Mist wins Grand Prix at Kyoto souvenir election

Byaku Organic Mist ‘Jaku’, a sandalwood-based organic mist produced by Byaku LLC, has won the Grand Prix at the ‘Kyoto Souvenir Election in Kyoto Station’. The award was presented on September 28, 2026, during the 60th anniversary ceremony of the Kyoto Brand Specialty Products Fair Trade Council held at Hotel Granvia Kyoto.

The product, which combines sandalwood with Kyoto Kitayama cedar, was developed by a former Kyoto cuisine chef to capture the essence of tranquility and space found in Kyoto. The winner was selected through visitor voting held on September 12 and 13 at the Kyoto Station Building.

Following the competition, the organizers are considering limited-time sales of top-winning products through JR West Group stores and e-commerce platforms.
