Bybit secures VARA spot trading licence in Dubai

Bybit Fintech FZE has obtained a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) licence from Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) for exchange services, specifically covering spot trading. This regulatory approval allows the company’s local entity to serve retail, qualified, and institutional investors within the emirate.

Bybit established its international headquarters in Dubai in 2022 and previously received provisional approval from the regulator in 2024. While the current licence is limited to spot trading, the company expressed intentions to seek further regulatory approval to offer derivatives services in the region in the future.
