BYD Auto Japan expands dealer network and hosts EV strategy seminar

BYD Auto Japan will host an online seminar on 24 August, featuring CEO Atsuki Higashifujii. The session will outline BYD’s global electric‑vehicle (EV) leadership, its R&D capacity of 120,000 engineers, the company’s blade‑battery safety technology, and its strategy for growing BEV sales in the Japanese market amid government subsidies.

In parallel, D&D Import Japan, a subsidiary of D&D Holdings, announced that it will take over three BYD authorized dealer locations – in Okinawa and Sapporo – starting 1 July 2026. The move aims to speed decision‑making and boost specialist support as BYD prepares to launch its new lightweight EV model “RACCO” later that month, with plans for further dealer expansion across Japan.
