BYD Dolphin Mini receives design updates and price cuts
BYD is introducing updates to its Dolphin Mini electric vehicle, with new images revealed by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology showing a redesigned interior and exterior. The new generation features a modernized cabin with a larger, non-rotating multimedia screen and a potential removal of the traditional instrument cluster, similar to the Volvo EX30 strategy. The interior also includes a two-level central console, induction charging, and a gear selector located on the steering column.
In the Brazilian market, the Dolphin Mini is seeing significant price reductions for August. Discounts of up to R$ 10,000 have been applied to both versions: the entry-level GL model has dropped to R$ 109,990, while the more complete GS version has decreased to R$ 139,990. To support sales, BYD is also offering special financing conditions through the Move Brasil program to facilitate the transition to electric mobility.
