A 46-year-old driver, identified by the initial S, has been named a suspect following a multi-vehicle accident involving a BYD electric vehicle in the Blok M area of South Jakarta. The incident occurred on Friday afternoon, October 23, 2026, on Jalan Panglima Polim.

According to police, the driver lost control after colliding with a Honda Brio, causing the BYD to veer left and strike a motorcycle. The vehicle then hit a Wuling car and mounted the sidewalk, striking two parked vehicles. The collision resulted in serious injuries to a 56-year-old motorcycle taxi driver, Hasan Syukur, who suffered a broken left leg and a punctured lung. He is currently undergoing treatment at Fatmawati Hospital.
