BYD expands EV lineup with Atto 3 Evo and Qin Max

BYD is expanding its electric vehicle lineup with significant technical upgrades and aggressive pricing strategies. The new Atto 3 Evo features an increased battery capacity of 74.8 kWh and improved charging speeds of up to 225 kW peak. This model also shifts its drivetrain from front-wheel to rear-wheel drive, altering its handling characteristics.

In the sedan segment, the BYD Qin Max is positioned as a direct competitor to the Tesla Model 3. In the Chinese market, the Qin Max EV is priced significantly lower than its competitor, with base models starting at approximately 14,300 EUR. The vehicle utilizes the new Blade Battery 2.0, which enables rapid charging from 10% to 70% in roughly five minutes. The Qin Max offers power outputs ranging from 160 PS to 321 PS and a CLTC-rated range of up to 630 km, while also including roof-mounted LiDAR as standard equipment.
