BYD expands presence in Poland with SUV sales and new electric models

BYD is strengthening its position in the Polish automotive market, particularly within the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) segment. The BYD SEAL U DM-i was identified as the most popular PHEV model in Poland during September, driven by competitive pricing and high equipment levels.

In the electric vehicle sector, the BYD Sealion 7 is being positioned as a significant competitor to Tesla. The Sealion 7 Excellence AWD features 390 kW of power, a 0-100 km/h acceleration of 4.5 seconds, and a WLTP-rated range of up to 502 km. Reviewers have noted its high-quality interior finish, comfortable suspension, and advanced driver assistance systems, though it lacks a direct equivalent to Tesla's Full Self-Driving (FSD) capability.
