BYD introduces five-seater Dolphin Surf electric model

BYD has introduced a five-seater configuration for the Dolphin Surf, addressing a previous limitation of its most affordable electric model. While the entry-level Active trim remains a four-seater starting at approximately €20,000, the Boost and Comfort trim levels now offer an additional central seat to improve interior practicality.

The Dolphin Surf, a European version of the BYD Seagull, has grown in size to 3,990 mm to achieve a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating. The model has seen significant global success, with the Seagull variant selling over 700,000 units across markets including China, South America, Southeast Asia, Australia, and South Africa.
