BYD Korea launches Sealion 6 DM-i fuel efficiency challenge
BYD Korea has announced the ‘Sealion 6 DM-i National Fuel Efficiency Challenge’ to commemorate its 10th anniversary in the South Korean market. Running from October 10 to October 31, the event will be held at 32 BYD showrooms across the country.
Participants will drive the Sealion 6 DM-i, a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) mid-size SUV, on a designated approximately 10km course to test real-world fuel efficiency. Based on the recorded results, various prizes will be awarded: a portable reel cable for efficiencies between 16km/ℓ and 19km/ℓ, a Sealion keyring for 19km/ℓ to 22km/ℓ, and a travel tumbler for those exceeding 22km/ℓ.
Six specific locations, including Bundang and several Starfield sites, are excluded from the challenge. Additionally, BYD is hosting an SNS review event where 20 selected participants will receive department store vouchers worth 50,000 won. The company aims to use this initiative to demonstrate the practical efficiency of its DM-i plug-in hybrid technology.
