BYD Korea opens new Starfield Market Wolgye showroom

BYD Korea has officially opened its 36th passenger vehicle showroom, the BYD Auto Starfield Market Wolgye showroom, located in the northeastern retail hub of Seoul. The facility is situated on the first floor of the newly renovated Starfield Market Wolgye, which was formerly the E-Mart Wolgye branch.

Operating under a ‘city mall concept,’ the 139-square-meter showroom is designed to integrate brand experiences with daily shopping, dining, and cultural activities. The space can display up to three vehicles and includes dedicated parking to support test drives and vehicle deliveries. The location is expected to attract significant interest from families in the Nowon, Dobong, and Gangbuk districts, as well as surrounding areas in northern Gyeonggi Province.

BYD is targeting the family vehicle market, specifically focusing on practical sedans and SUVs. The company expects high interest in models such as the Sealion 6 DM-i, a plug-in hybrid SUV (PHEV). This expansion marks a strategic move to broaden BYD's lineup in South Korea from purely electric vehicles to include PHEVs.
