BYD launches Atto 2 DM-i hybrid and Atto 3 Evo in Australia

BYD has expanded its Australian lineup with the launch of the 2026 Atto 2 DM-i, a plug-in hybrid SUV available in Essential and Premium grades. The vehicle utilizes a 1.5-litre petrol engine paired with an electric motor, producing a combined output of up to 156kW and 300Nm of torque in the Premium specification. The models feature LFP Blade battery technology, with the Premium grade offering a combined WLTP range of up to 895km.

Additionally, BYD has introduced the 2027 Atto 3 Evo, a mid-life update to its established Atto 3 electric SUV. While the exterior features minor aesthetic tweaks to the bumpers and lighting, the flagship Evo trim includes significant mechanical upgrades such as rear-wheel drive, a larger battery pack, increased power and torque, and improved charging speeds.
