BYD launches Dolphin G DM‑i hybrid hatchback in Europe with 1,000 km range

Chinese automaker BYD introduced the Dolphin G DM‑i, a compact plug‑in Super Hybrid hatchback aimed at the European B‑segment. Priced from €23,640 for the Active trim, the model is built for European customers with a length of 4.16 m, a 2.61 m wheelbase and a 425‑liter boot.

The Dolphin G uses BYD’s Dual‑Mode Intelligence (DM‑i) system, combining a 1.5‑L gasoline engine with two electric motors and a Blade Battery. It delivers up to 105 km of pure‑electric range, a total range above 1,000 km and fuel consumption of 71 km per litre of gasoline. Power output reaches 163 hp and 210 Nm, enabling 0‑100 km/h in 8.3 seconds. The vehicle offers digital instrument clusters, optional infotainment screens up to 12.8 inches, and a spacious interior for five adults.
