BYD launches Dolphin G hybrid in Europe and seeks to become world’s top carmaker by 2030

Chinese automaker BYD has begun selling its Dolphin G plug‑in hybrid hatchback in European markets. The model, built on the DM‑i system, offers up to 1,000 km of combined range and is priced between €25,000 and €30,000. Four trim levels – Active, Boost, Comfort and Sport – provide features such as a 12.8‑inch infotainment screen, wireless charging, V2L capability and optional panoramic sunroof. Production for the European version is already underway, and BYD plans to introduce a flex‑fuel version in Brazil, to be built at its Camaçari plant.
