BYD launches new electric sedan models in China

BYD has expanded its electric vehicle lineup in China with the launch of new sedan models, including the Da Han (also known as the Great Han) and the Qin Max.

The Da Han is a flagship electric sedan measuring 5.25 meters in length. It features BYD’s DiSus-A suspension control system and rear-wheel steering. The base single-motor model offers up to 1,008 km of range under the CLTC cycle, while the top-tier dual-motor version provides 570 kW of power and 880 km of range. The vehicle includes premium interior features such as up to 31 speakers and multiple displays. Prices for the Da Han range from approximately 249,900 yuan to 299,900 yuan.

The Qin Max is positioned as a more affordable option, with the fully electric version starting at roughly 109,900 yuan ($16,500). It offers a range of up to 391 miles (CLTC) and utilizes the Blade Battery 2.0 and Flash Charging system, capable of charging from 10% to 97% in nine minutes. The Qin Max is equipped with advanced driver-assistance technology, including a roof-mounted LiDAR setup for assisted driving functions.
