BYD launches Sealion 08 pre-orders and updates Seal 6

BYD has launched pre-orders for its flagship Sealion 08 SUV from the Ocean lineup in China. The vehicle is available in both plug-in hybrid (DM-i) and fully electric versions, with seating options for five or six passengers. Pre-order prices for the DM-i model range from 230,000 to 260,000 yuan, while the electric version is priced between 250,000 and 280,000 yuan.

The Sealion 08 DM-i features ultra-fast flash charging technology, capable of charging the second-generation Blade battery from 10% to 97% in nine minutes.

Additionally, the BYD Seal 6 is undergoing updates. In China, the model features stylistic modifications to the headlights and air intakes, along with increased dimensions. The Seal 6 is offered as both a plug-in hybrid and a fully electric vehicle. High-end trims include Lidar technology for advanced driver assistance, a 15.6-inch rotating central display, and the DiLink operating system integrated with DeepSeek AI for voice recognition.
