BYD launches Sealion 5 DM-i plug-in hybrid SUV in Vietnam

BYD Vietnam has officially introduced the Sealion 5 DM-i, a new C-SUV featuring DM-i Super Hybrid technology, to the Vietnamese market. The vehicle is capable of traveling 110 km on pure electric power and over 1,200 km on a full tank of fuel and a full battery charge.

Imported from Thailand, the Sealion 5 DM-i is available in two versions: Essential and Premium. While the standard prices are set at 739 million VND and 789 million VND respectively, BYD is offering promotional pricing for the first 1,000 customers, starting from 659 million VND and 709 million VND.

The SUV utilizes the Dragon Face design language and features an interior with plant-based seat materials and a PM2.5 dust filtration system. The Premium version includes enhanced features such as electric adjustable seats with three-level cooling, dual-layer acoustic glass, and an eight-speaker sound system with integrated karaoke functionality.
